Mysteries with religious connections

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

In today's Faith Matters Weblog, Bill Tammeus lists the number of stories in a single issue of the New York Times which relate to religion. He listed ten and said there were others.

They went from stories about same-sex partners to stories about the Pakistan-Taliban war.

Just offhand, I think of the tragic murder of Dr. George Tiller in a Kansas church.

In the same way, there are probably more mystery stories which involve religion than we think.

Today, I invite you to help me think of good mystery fiction with ties to religion.

Well, there are the Father Dowling mysteries.

Bruen's Jack Taylor series.

Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and the new one.

Probably a lot more but I'm coming up blank at the mo.
