I am enjoying Andrea Camilleri's The Terra-Cotta Dog.
That made me wonder about the author and the translator of the book.
I found I am way behind. Camilleri has written eleven of these books. The Terra-Cotta Dog is the second in the series. He is listed as number forty-three on someone's list of top fifty mystery writers.
The translator is Stephen Sartelli, a poet. I appreciate the translation. It makes the book easy, clear reading. Other than his name and the names of many things he has translated, I couldn't find much else about Sartelli.
