When do mystery books become something else? I picked up a bargain book called The Body Departed by J.I. Rain.
I was attracted to the book because it supposedly had a ghost as the narrator. As I read the book, the story seemed to be more Christian propaganda than mystery story or ghost story.
I wish the story descriptions had been clear about what the story is.
Stories with religious settings don't bother me, but when I read a mystery-suspense story, I want it to be a mystery-suspense story, not theology in disguise.
