Ellery Queen and Alfred Hitchcock

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Their editors have improved the Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine web sites.

Both sites have Podcast pages.  EQMM has a mystery crossword puzzle, PDFs of a few past stories, and PDFs of excerpts from stories in the present issue.  Alfred Hitchcock also includes PDFs of excerpts of stories from that magazine.

I read and enjoyed Kristine Kathryn Rusch's "The Secret Lives of Cats" on the EQMM site.  It's a story that starts out innocently enough and ends up in a grisly way.

I also truly enjoyed listening to Ellery Queen's "The Myna Birds" on the Podcast page.  What fun!  It was like listening to an old radio show.
